Political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and India at the level of deputy heads of foreign affairs of the two countries in the format of a video conference.
The diplomats discussed topical issues of the regional and international agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan, and also stressed the need for further bilateral interaction within the framework of international negotiation platforms.

In this regard, the effectiveness of the dialogue at the highest level and regular consultations between the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries was noted.
The sides also discussed issues of intensifying meetings of Turkmen and Indian experts on cybersecurity, anti-terrorism and other issues of mutual interest. The parties paid special attention to the issues of bilateral economic cooperation. The construction of the TAPI gas pipeline, which has noticeably intensified recently, was named among the priority joint projects.
The diplomats also highlighted the need to consolidate efforts in finding new effective ways to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
