This year’s competition focuses on Azerbaijani-Uzbek cooperation, major projects implemented by both countries, reforms and achievements. In this regard, the nomination “Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan cooperation: our successes and achievements” was determined.
The competition included the nomination “Shusha – the cultural capital of Azerbaijan” on the occasion of the 44-day war of the Azerbaijani people against the Armenian aggressors, the historic victory, as well as the liberation of Shusha, the capital of Azerbaijani culture.
The history, culture, tourism resources of Shusha, the ancient city of Azerbaijan, the center of Karabakh, famous Shusha people, the cradle of culture and art, the liberation of Shusha, the bravery of the Azerbaijani army, the successful policy of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the visit to the liberated territories. restoration of territories, destruction of our national-cultural heritage, monuments of Shusha, the city’s contributions to Azerbaijani culture, etc. information will be preferred.
The Azerbaijan Cultural Center has dedicated the main nomination of this year’s contest to the genius poet in connection with the announcement of 2021 by President Ilham Aliyev as the “Year of Nizami Ganjavi” on the occasion of the 880th anniversary of the great Nizami Ganjavi.
In the nomination “Nizami Ganjavi – a genius of Azerbaijani and world poetry” should be widely covered and analyzed not only the personality and creativity of Nizami, a giant, proud, powerful master of words and ideas of Azerbaijani and world literature, his unparalleled contributions to human culture. influence on the literature of the peoples, etc. topics will be preferred.
Shusha nominated in Uzbekistan competition
In 2021, more attention will be paid to programs about our country, as well as Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan friendship, which will be shown on the TV channels of the brotherly country.

The best projects of the year about Azerbaijan, translated works, translators will also be evaluated and awarded.
During 2021, the most active Azerbaijani and Uzbek figures, scientists and representatives of the diaspora, who promote friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, will also be awarded special prizes of the competition. “Special awards will be traditionally presented to media outlets (newspapers, magazines, websites, TV channels) that publish and broadcast the most materials about the Azerbaijani-Uzbek friendship, as well as the history, culture, customs and traditions, economy and tourism of our country.
The competition concludes in December each year and the winners are awarded special prizes at a ceremony held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center.
It should be noted that as a result of the competition, which has been traditionally held since 2013, the birthday of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev since May 10, 2013, the Uzbek press publishes an average of more than 500 articles on Azerbaijan.
